AWS Managed Partner Development · Delivered with Only Best Practices

The reseller channel you don't have to build.
Or staff.

A twelve-month, fully managed AWS channel — recruited, enabled, and run for you.

Marketplace channel revenue only shows up when partners are registered, authorized, and enabled — and that work doesn't happen without an owner. Managed Partner Development recruits, contracts, enables, and operates your reseller channel on AWS, with a CPPO deal desk and a partner system of record. No new headcount. Delivered by Automatum with Only Best Practices (OBP).

The gap

AWS channel revenue doesn't run itself.

A channel that never starts

Reselling on AWS needs partners who are registered, authorized, and enabled. Without an owner, none of that happens.

Building it is expensive

Hiring a channel manager and buying PRM software is high up-front cost — slow to justify for an early-stage ISV.

Advisors don't execute

Advisory-only consultancies hand you a plan. They don't recruit partners, run the deal desk, or issue authorizations.

What you get

A working reseller channel, operated for you.

One managed engagement recruits and runs the channel end to end — and every tier includes the partner system of record, selling authorizations, and attribution.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Managed Partner Development.

What is Managed Partner Development?

It is a twelve-month managed engagement that stands up and runs your AWS reseller channel: partner recruitment and contracting, a CPPO deal desk, recurring selling authorizations, enablement, a partner system of record, and attribution reporting. It is delivered by Automatum with Only Best Practices (OBP).

Do I need to hire a channel manager or buy PRM software?

No. Managed Partner Development replaces a channel-manager hire and a separate PRM subscription. OBP runs the channel with a named manager and operates a dedicated partner system of record inside the engagement fee.

What is the difference between the tiers?

The tiers scale three things: roster size (up to six partners, up to twelve, or uncapped), CPPO deal-desk turnaround (one business day, eight business hours, or four business hours), and review cadence (quarterly, monthly, or fortnightly). Every tier includes the partner system of record, selling authorizations, and attribution.

How is the channel measured?

AWS Partner Revenue Measurement attribution is configured so partner-sourced Marketplace revenue is reported on a set cadence, and the partner system of record is the auditable source of record for partners issuing offers.

How long until partners are selling?

The term is twelve months, structured so partners reach first transactions inside the first quarter from their sign date; a partner counts as active once it transacts within a 365-day span. Timelines depend on partners completing AWS registration, tax, and banking, which is outside the partners' control.
